Phragments is the long-running project of Matej Gyárfáš, based in Bratislava, Slovakia. Since its inception in 2002, it has been delving deep into the realm of apocalyptic electronics, crafting immersive sonic worlds where dark ambient, orchestral textures, and ritual atmospheres converge. In recent years, Matej has been joined on and off stage by Nenad Branković, enriching the project with an added layer of sonic depth and intensity.

Over more than two decades, Phragments has released six full-length albums on international labels and collaborated extensively with like-minded artists. The project's sound is characterized by drone meditations, repetitive structures, and a sense of descent into sound cathedrals and subterranean voids.

Recent releases include collaborations Between Ecstasy and Death with New Risen Throne (Winter-Light, 2025) and Concilium with Zmyrna (2025) – a conceptual work on the Council of Constance.
